On October 22, 2026, with the blessing of the Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Rev. Fr. Gevork Abyan, Assistant Pastor of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church of Van Nuys, participated in an interfaith gathering hosted by Northridge Hospital’s Spiritual Care Department in observance of Spiritual Care Week (October 18–24). This year’s theme, “Healing Through Presence and Grace,” brought together hospital president Dr. Jeremy Zoch and representatives of various churches and religious organizations.

Fr. Gevork presented the Western Diocese's mission in providing hospital spiritual care and offered a prayer for the hospital’s administration and staff, asking God to bless and strengthen them in their dedicated service to patients and families. Hospital chaplain Deacon Tigran Garibjanyan took part in the service.
The gathering concluded with fellowship and a luncheon, providing an opportunity to strengthen interfaith relationships and exchange experiences. The initiative highlighted the vital role of spiritual care in bringing compassion, comfort, and hope to those facing illness and hardship.
