Fr. Serovpe Alanjian Appointed Director Of Mission Parishes

We are pleased to announce that, under the direction of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, effective September 1, the Rev. Fr. Serovpe Alanjian has been appointed to oversee the Diocese’s Mission Parishes.

On the occasion of this appointment, the Primate conveyed his paternal blessing, guidance, and pastoral directives to Fr. Serovpe, expressing his confidence that he will undertake this new mission and ministry with dedication, zeal, and a spirit of service.

Within the Western Diocese, Mission Parishes are emerging faith communities that have not yet been formally organized as full parishes. Through regular pastoral ministry, celebration of the Divine Liturgy, administration of the Holy Sacraments, and ongoing spiritual care, these communities continue to grow with the goal of becoming organized and self-sustaining parishes in the future.

We pray that Almighty God will bless Fr. Serovpe in his new mission and grant him a fruitful and successful ministry for the glory of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and the strengthening and growth of the Western Diocese.
