Primate Visits Sound Of Children Summer Camp

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church, visited the campers and staff of the Sound of Children Summer Camp, hosted at the Western Diocese under the leadership of Sirvard Kavoukjian and the directorship of Nune Movsesyan.

Spending time with the children throughout the day, the Primate warmly encouraged them to make the most of the enriching opportunities offered at camp, inspiring them to grow in knowledge, creativity, and faith while fostering lasting friendships. The camp provides a vibrant and engaging environment through daily Armenian language instruction, arts and crafts, music and dance, sports and water games, cooking activities, and theater productions, offering campers a well-rounded summer experience that strengthens their connection to their Armenian heritage while creating joyful and lasting memories.
