On April 25, a commemorative and cultural event dedicated to the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place in the courtyard of Van Nuys City Hall. The gathering brought together members of the Armenian community of the San Fernando Valley, representatives of local authorities, and numerous guests.
The event was organized to honor the memory of our holy martyrs and to affirm the indomitable will, faith, and cultural heritage of the Armenian people. Throughout the program, remarks of remembrance were delivered, alongside cultural performances and poetry readings that expressed the resilience of the Armenian people and their faith in renewal. On this occasion, the Diocesan Primate was represented by the Assistant Pastor of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church of Van Nuys, the Rev. Fr. Gevork Abyan.
The event concluded with a prayer and a moment of silent tribute in memory of the holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
