We are pleased to share that the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America has undertaken numerous construction projects that will contribute to the strengthening of the Christian faith, the reinforcement of the mission of Armenian identity preservation, the revitalization of community life, and the more effective organization of Diocesan administrative operations.
Under the direction of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, we present the following construction projects:
- The construction of the second floor of the Diocesan headquarters’ administrative building will soon begin. This will greatly expand the wide-ranging activities of the Diocesan headquarters.
- Under the presidency of His Eminence, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new daily school in Las Vegas will take place on August 14. This important educational initiative, alongside the parish's pastoral and spiritual services, will advance the vital mission of preserving Armenian identity in the community.
- Construction projects are currently underway adjacent to the Holy Apostles Armenian Apostolic Church in Tujunga.
- Construction of the church complex of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Glendale will resume soon. This major project—with its unique location, church building, daily school, adjacent halls, open-air altar, and other amenities—will become a unique and vibrant center for the spiritual, educational, community, youth, and social life of the densely populated Armenian community of Glendale.
- A new property will be acquired in Seattle, and alongside the church, a hall will be built for community use.
- In the near future, construction will begin to expand the daily school of St. Peter Armenian Church.
His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Diocesan Council, the Diocesan clergy, and parish councils are diligently overseeing the progress of these construction projects for the glory of God and the Armenian Apostolic Church, the preservation of the Armenian language and culture, the strengthening of unity among the Armenian-American faithful of the Western Diocese, and the safeguarding of our national traditions.
