The Armenian American Medical Society (AAMS) held its 40th Annivesary Gala on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at The Landmark in Mission Hills. Having attended the event, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian delivered the invocation, in which he commended the outstanding mission of the AAMS.
Below is the Primate's invocation in its entirety.
Almighty God,
As we are gathered on the occasion of the 40th Annual Armenian American Medical Society Gala we uplift our hearts with profound joy and gratitude for the trust and privilege graced upon us to become the living testament of the unwavering dedication and noble mission of the AAMS in advancing healthcare, education and humanitarian service.
For four decades, God has empowered AAMS with the highest standards of medical excellence while upholding the sacred duty of serving humanity with compassion and integrity.
Almighty God, as we celebrate this remarkable anniversary, we give thanks for the commitment, professional advancement and public health, the AAMS has nurtured and inspired generations of medical professionals.
We as God to bless the AAMS in the mission of the medical field aid to the underserved, organizing health screenings and extending healing hands to those in need, which beautifully reflects our share Christian values of love, mercy, and service.
Dear members and friends of the Armenian American Medical Society, may your dedication continue to be a beacon of hope and healing for all. I offer my prayers for your continued success. May the Lord bless the Armenian American Medical society, its members and benefactors, pillars and honorees with wisdom, strength and abundant grace as you strive to elevate healthcare and enrich lives challenged with Artificial Intelligence.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
Proceeds from the event were allocated for advancing healthcare in Armenia and scholarships.
