A Legacy Of Light: Christmas Ball Season Begins

This year's Christmas Ball theme is “A Legacy of Light,” and on Thursday, October 22, that light was reflected in the gathering of past and present honorees at the Hampar Family Room.

The Western Diocese Christmas Ball Committee gathered for its Annual Kick-Off Dinner, welcoming new honorees and reuniting them with honorees from years past. Together with His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, the evening was filled with fellowship and the warmth that marks the beginning of the Christmas season for our Diocesan family.

This year is especially meaningful. As we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Christmas Ball, our family has grown to more than 120 honorees. These are physicians, attorneys, educators, public servants, and leaders from all walks of life, each making a difference in their communities through service. Each is a light, and together they have built a legacy.

That is the heart of the Christmas Ball: celebrating the spirit of Christmas by honoring the work of others.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Archbishop Derderian for his continued support and encouragement throughout these twenty years. His blessings have helped carry this tradition forward from one generation to the next.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Carousel Restaurant of Glendale for their continued generosity in providing dinner for our Annual Kick-Off gathering. Their support and kindness have been a cherished part of this tradition.

Twenty years later, the Christmas Ball continues to bring our Diocesan family together, honoring the legacy of those who have served while inspiring future generations to carry that same light forward.

Save the Date: The 20th Anniversary Christmas Ball will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at the Western Diocese. Tickets are $250 per person. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
