St. Nersess Deacons' Training Program Underway In New York

The St. Nersess Deacons' Training Program is underway, providing participants with an enriching week of spiritual formation, liturgical instruction, and fellowship. The program began with worship at the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, grounding the participants in prayer and the liturgical life of the Church.

The following day featured a full schedule of Armenian language classes, practical ministry instruction, deacons' chanting, and opportunities for fellowship, fostering both learning and fraternity among the participants. The program is co-directed by the Rev. Fr. Haroutiun Sabounjian, a 2018 graduate of St. Nersess Armenian Seminary, and Deacon Alex Calikyan, a 2019 seminary graduate, who together are guiding the next generation of deacons in their service to the Armenian Church.
