On June 9, 2026, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, welcomed a delegation from the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR), led by Executive Director Mrs. Frieda Jordan, at the Diocesan headquarters.
In a warm and cordial atmosphere, the delegation presented the mission, longstanding achievements, and upcoming initiatives of the organization, while also expressing gratitude to the Western Diocese and to Archbishop Derderian for years of steadfast support and cooperation.
In turn, the Primate commended ABMDR’s life-saving humanitarian mission, noting that the organization has become a source of hope for thousands of patients and families, as well as a shining example of Armenian humanitarian service on the global stage. He particularly praised its sustained efforts in building a worldwide network of volunteer donors, identifying compatible matches, and facilitating life-saving transplants.
Archbishop Derderian also extended his appreciation to Mrs. Frieda Jordan, the staff, and volunteers of ABMDR for their devoted service and unwavering commitment, through which the organization continues its blessed mission in service not only to the Armenian people but to humanity at large.
The meeting concluded with mutual expressions of appreciation and a reaffirmation of continued cooperation in the future.
