Armenian Language Innovations: New Methods, New Tools, New Possibilities

Hosted by the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church and Woodbury University, a unique colloquium promises thoughtful dialogue, practical insight, and a vision for a vibrant future for Armenian language education. This forward-looking educational gathering is dedicated to the challenges facing the Armenian language in the Diaspora, with a special focus on Western Armenian. Leading experts will present innovative ideas, modern teaching methodologies, and new educational tools aimed at revitalizing language learning and strengthening Armenian education in classrooms and communities. Distinguished international speakers include linguist Prof. Anaïd Donabedian-Demopoulos from Paris, Dr. Razmik Panossian and Ani Garmirian of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Armenian Communities.  Dr. Hratch Tchilingirian is the moderator. The program is designed especially for teachers, educators, scholars, and all who are passionate about Armenian language and cultural continuity. The event will take place on March 3, 2026, with a 6:15 PM reception and 7:00 PM program at Fletcher Jones Auditorium, Woodbury University (Burbank).
