On Thursday, January 29, 2026, Her Excellency Anna Avetisyan, the newly-appointed Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, paid a courtesy visit to the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America where she was welcomed by the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian.
In a meeting with Archbishop Derderian, prospects for further strengthening cooperation in the fields of education and culture were discussed. Past collaborative missions and projects between the Consulate General and the Western Diocese were also discussed.
Both Consul General Avetisyan and Archbishop Derderian outlined their strong commitment to implementing new joint programs and initiatives in the near future. Archbishop Derderian expressed his gratitude to Consul General Avetisyan, wishing her continued success in her diplomatic mission.
