As the chair of the fundraising committee of the renovation of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, travelled to the Diocese of the Armenian Church in Australia this week. The Primate will be welcomed by His Eminence Archbishop Haigazoun Najarian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Australia and New Zealand.
During the two-day visit from February 28 – March 1, Archbishop Derderian will take part in the Vigil service at the Holy Resurrection Armenian Church in Sydney. The vigil will be followed by a fellowship with the members of the Armenian community where Archbishop Derderian will highlight the ongoing renovation efforts of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin in a thorough presentation.

On February 29, Archbishop Derderian will take part in a reception organized by the host diocese with representatives of Armenian community organizations and principal benefactors.
On March 1, His Eminence will deliver the homily at Holy Resurrection Armenian Church. The service will be followed by a meeting with the faithful on the church grounds. Â
