Seattle's ACYO Holds Annual Bonfire Fellowship
Published - 5 September 2025

On August 30, 2025, the Armenian Church Youth Organization (ACYO) of the Holy Resurrection Armenian Apostolic Church in Seattle hosted its annual traditional bonfire gathering.

The program commenced with opening remarks by the parish pastor, Rev. Fr. Archpriest Vazgen Boyajyan, who welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation for their strong presence. In his address, Fr. Vazgen urged parishioners and youth alike to prioritize the Armenian Church in their daily lives, to remain actively engaged in spiritual and cultural initiatives, and to uphold a way of life inspired by Armenian identity and values. He further emphasized the importance of diligently preserving and passing on these values to future generations.

Fr. Vazgen also introduced the newly elected members of the ACYO, recognizing their recent efforts in organizing several successful initiatives that have already earned the respect and praise of the parish youth.

The annual bonfire drew more than 65 participants, making it the year’s largest youth event. Thank you to our youth for making the evening one to remember! It was not only a joy to celebrate with longtime friends, but also to welcome many new faces into our parish family. Around the bonfire, attendees created lifelong bonds, strengthened their faith, and shared the night in fellowship.

The celebration continued with an overnight lock-in, filled with food, games, musical chairs, and laughter that stretched late into the night. On Sunday morning, the group gathered once more to participate in church services together. The memories made over this weekend will be forever cherished by all who attended.
