On the joyous occasion of the commencement of the 2025-2026 academic year, on September 3, 2025, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, paid a pastoral visit to St. Gregory’s Hovsepian School in Pasadena. Accompanied by the Rev. Fr. Nzhdeh Keshishyan, His Eminence was introduced to the students by Archpriest Fr. Sarkis Petoyan. Addressing the gathered students in the church sanctuary, His Eminence emphasized the vital role of education in shaping both mind and spirit. He encouraged the young scholars to strive for excellence in their studies, reminding them that true achievement comes when knowledge is coupled with faith, values, and service. Archbishop Derderian inspired the students to become exemplary Christians and committed citizens, living lives that enrich both their Church and society.
During the visit, Archbishop Derderian also offered a heartfelt prayer for the continued prosperity of the Republic of Armenia, the United States of America, and Hovsepian School, which proudly marked its 40th anniversary last year. The prayerful moment was followed by a warm and engaging question-and-answer session between the Archbishop and the students, which sparked joy and excitement among the young participants. The day’s gathering served as a meaningful reminder of the school’s enduring mission: to nurture future generations in faith, knowledge, and love for their Armenian heritage.
Սույն թվականի Սեպտեմբերի 3-ին Արևմտյան թեմի Առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տ․ Հովնան Արք․ Տերտերյանը, ուղեկցությամբ՝ Արժ․ Տեր Նժդեհ Քահանա Քեշիշյանի, այցելեց Փասադենայի Հովսեփյան ամենօրյա վարժարան։ Եկեղեցու մուտքին հյուրերին դիմավորեց Սբ․ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ եկեղեցու Հոգևոր Հովիվ՝ Արժ․ Տ․ Սարգիս Ավ․ Քահանա Պետոյանը։ Տեր Սարգիսը բարիգալսյան խոսքից հետո հրավիրեց Հովնան Սրբազանին՝ օրհնության և հայրական խոսքի համար ։ Ուսումնական տարվա առաջին օրվանն ընդառաջ՝ Սրբազան Հայրը նախ շնորհավորեց դպրոցի տնօրինությանը, մանկավարժներին,ծնողներին և մասնավորաբար սիրելի աշակերտներին՝ մաղթելով նրանց նորանոր ձեռքբերումներ և հարստացում՝ գիտելիքի անեզր ծովի մեջ։ Աշակերտներն ու ծնողները գոհունակությամբ և երախտապարտ սրտով ընդունեցին սիրելի Սրբազանի հորդորներն ու պատգամները և խոստացան կատարել իրենց առավելագույնը՝ օրինավոր և պարտաճանաչ հայ մնալու սրբազան գործում։ Ապա Սրբազան Հայրն, աշակերտների հետ միաբերան, աղոթք բարձրացրեց Հայաստան աշխարհի, Միացյալ Նահագների, Հովսեփյանի դպրոցի անսասանության և պայծառության համար։
