Cross-Stone in Memory of the Fallen Heroes of the 44-Day Artsakh War Consecrated in Las Vegas

On February 5, 2025, while on a pastoral visit to St. Geragos Armenian Apostolic Church of Las Vegas, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian presided over a cross-stone consecration ceremony dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the 44-day war in Artsakh.

 

With the participation of the Very Rev. Fr. Sasoon Dz. V. Zumrookhdian, Parish Priest, Archpriest Fr. Nareg Matarian and Deacon Gagik Martirosyan, the ceremony was attended by members of the Nagdalyan family, the faithful community of the Las Vegas parish as well as member of the local ACYO chapter.

The khachkar, installed in the church courtyard, was dedicated by Mr. Tigran Nagdalyan. In his remarks, Archbishop Derderian commended the benefactor for his zealous Christian spirit in honoring the eternal memory of the valiant Armenian soldiers.
