Annual Parish Assembly Held at Holy Resurrection Armenian Church of Seattle

The Annual Parish Assembly of the Holy Resurrection Armenian Church in Seattle took place on Sunday, January 31, at 1:00 p.m. Despite the epidemic, 29 out of 60 members attended the meeting. Several absent members joined the assembly online. The meeting took place with the blessing and presidency of Father Vazgen Boyajyan. The chairman of the meeting was Mr. Minas Danielyan, and the secretary was Mr. Garnik Akopyan.

During the Annual General members meeting, the parish priest presented a detailed report of his mission for 2020, after which the reports of all the committees were presented one by one. The Parish Council reports were presented by vice-chair Mr. Sergey Stepanyan, the Women's Committee by Mr. Rima Israelyan, and the report from Youth of the Armenian Church (ACYO) was given by; Ms. Nairy Boyajyan, Ms. Ellen Akopyan, and Mr. Vartan Abramyan. The Junior ACYO report was presented by; the chair of the committee, Ms. Ella Isakhanyan. The report of Armenian House (Hay Tun) was presented by; the chairman Mr. Vigen Isakhanyan, Voice of Washington Armenians by Tamara Nalbandyan and lastly, the school report was presented by; the principal Mrs. Alina Sahakyan.

Every report was accepted with high marks, after which Mr. Yury Akopyan presented the Church's financial report for 2020.

After acquiring all reports, the following parishioners were elected as Parish Council members- Deacon Leon Esibov, Mr. Tigran Poghosyan, Mrs. Diana Akopyan, Mr. Garnik Akopyan, Deacon Alex Esibov, and Artak Khachatryan as an alternate.

At the end of the meeting, Father Vazgen thanked the deacons, the choir members, the members of all committees, the school principal, teachers and parents, the faithful, and the donors for their encouragement and dedicated services․ Thanks to them, our Holy Church grows brighter and more prosperous year by year.
