Narek Cultural Foundation celebrated its 25th anniversary of establishment on January 28, 2018. Its founder Mrs. Rima Saryan was honored at the event with by civic leaders including State Senator the Honorable Anthony Portantino, Glendale Mayor Vartan Gharpetian and Glendale City Councilmember Zareh Sinanyan. 

Archpriest Fr. Manoug Markarian represented the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian at the event. In recognition of her dedicated pedagogical work and he contributions to the strenthening of Armenia-Diaspora relations and preservation of the Armenian identity, Narek Cultural Foundation President Mrs. Saryan was honored by the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia by the Movses Khorenatsi medal.
