On April 13, 2026, the Diocesan Primate, Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, accompanied by the Executive Director of the Western Diocese, made a pastoral visit to St. Geragos Armenian Church in Las Vegas. They were warmly received by the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Sasoon Dz. V. Zumrookhdian, along with members of the Parish Council.

During the visit, the Primate and Executive Director were given a guided tour of the construction site for the parish’s future daycare center, currently underway adjacent to the church. The facility, which is expected to open in the coming months, will serve the growing needs of the local Armenian community.

In his remarks, Archbishop Derderian commended the dedicated pastoral leadership of Fr. Sasoon and zealousness of the Parish Council for their vision and commitment in undertaking this important project. He noted that the new daycare center stands as a testament to the parish’s ongoing efforts to nurture and support families in the Las Vegas area.
The visit concluded with words of encouragement and blessings for the successful completion of the project and the continued growth of the parish community.
