It is with a heavy heart that we inform the passing of Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Arzoumanian. Fr. Zaven entered his eternal rest on December 4, 2025, in Glendale. He was 92. Funeral details will follow.
“We were blessed to enjoy the presence of our dear Der Zaven at the Diocesan Headquarters on a daily basis after he retired from St. Gregory Armenian Church. Along with his beloved Yn. Joyce, he would unfailingly visit every day and take his honorary seat in the computer lab, authoring numerous books and articles. Der Zaven would always make a point to check in on me and, with his fatherly, courteous, and reassuring tone, offer positive encouragement. His priestly posture, fine manners, and calming presence—together with his sharp mind, God-given wisdom, wit, and humor—reflected a disciplined character with tenderness of heart.
